Italeri 54mm Medieval Teutonic Knight

Hi there, another Italeri figure for this week in 54 mm , 1:32 scale. This beautiful Knight comes to me as a commission painting and needed some extra work to get ready for painting.

At first this figure comes to me without a spear or a lance so, I had to build one. I did that with the magic solution of " Green Stuff " . Not so good when it was unpainted but the paint do the rest of the job..

The next thing is that the figure had to stay straight on the horse and the lance looking forward without glue him on the saddle.. This was resolved by putting two small pins under his legs right behind the knees as pictured below.

The pins had to be smaller than the leg size  so there will be no visual change on the figure. It is something like hidden support.

Studying the shape of his Cross on the shield and on the chest I decide to paint him with the colours of the Teutonic Order. The Knight was painted in a simple High standard but on the horse I spend some more time because I like very much its detailing.

Here's some pictures of the final result to your judgement :) Correction comments are welcomed!

That's all for now. I hope you like my work and it was an inspiration to someone out there!

Italeri 54mm Roman Flag bearer

Hi everyone! Continuing with the Roman commission for this week I have one more figure finished.
This is a beautiful sculpt from Italeri in 54mm scale of a Roman "Flag Bearer - Signifer" .

The only flaw with this figure is that the two pieces of the mould are connected wrong in the middle of his face..This leaves an awkward line and destroys a nice sculpted face. The line can't be cut of  because this will damage the details. Anyway, painted looks fine if you look its profile :)
You can see that in the right photo below.

This figure sure could take much more layering on the cloth , but as I wrote in the previous post I sould stay low in budget ... Some more pictures below from every angle.

That's all for now..Hope you like my little Roman :)

'Till next time...

Italeri Gladiators and Lion , 1:32 54mm

Hello everyone, for today's post I have a subject from Roman period, never opened before in my blog. Two very nice sculpts of Gladiators and a male Lion from Italeri in 54mm scale.

The shields are from not the original  figures but conversions made from other cheap miniatures.
Also one of the hands of one of the Gladiators. They come to me as a commission painting so I don't know why that happened...In one of the shields the hand of the other miniature is still there ..(!!)
I did my best for a nice high standard and I really enjoy painting them. Though I wanted to give some more layering on them I should stay low to keep the price down . I couldn't do that to the Lion figure witch I like very much , so I went one step forward ..:)
No grass tufts or other vegetation on the bases because they are on a gladiator arena!

That's all for now. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy or get inspired!

'Till next time....

Dungeons & Dragons Hero No.2

Hi everyone, the second figure of this set is ready .Another strange fantasy figure mixing medieval and modern details and equipment. The scale is strange also for these figures. This one is 35mm base to head. So I suppose 1:50 scale ??

Once again if there's a gamer out there who has any information about these figures, it would be very much appreciated to drop it here :)

Here some pictures to see the final result. I'm not 100% happy with it though....

That's all for now. Five more figures are on my table from this set so, stay tuned :)

'Till next time..

Airfix " Medieval Foot Soldiers" 1:32 Repainting-Restored

 Hi everyone!
Long time again since my last post , and I'm back with another small restoration. These figures
were badly and partially painted when they come to me and the paint was starting to break on some
spots. (I used those breaks to make cuttings of the cloths).

Here you can see the starting state of the figures. I decide no to try to scrub the paint of , but
only cut of some mould lines and loose paint breaks and repaint them.

And here is the final result.( after few hours but many days of sporadic painting....)

Once again one incomplete set but it was a figure resurrection so it doesn't count ..:)

Hope you like them and enjoy the pictures  ,  ...till next time...
